Janine graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England in 1999. After completing a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in Sydney in 1999, Janine commenced her legal career in Sydney in 2000.

Janine spent the next 15 years of her legal career working in Sydney in dispute resolution and litigation roles before returning to Regional NSW with her three daughters in 2015. Whilst practising in Sydney, Janine was appointed Chairperson of the Legal Aid Family Law Review Committee. This role inspired Janine to focus her dispute resolution skills into the area of family law.

In addition to working in legal practice, Janine has also been appointed as a casual academic at the University of New England, Armidale and as an Adjunct Lecturer at the College of Law in Sydney. Janine has enjoyed sharing her passion for the law and her legal skills with the next generation of lawyers.

In her spare time Janine enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner, her teenage daughters, and their animals (horses, dogs, and a cat).
