Thanks Sam,
You were actually referred to me by one of your previous clients. Just goes to show how strong word of mouth is, especially in this town. There are now even more people running around Newcastle saying what a terrific job you do.
From my perspective, you are light years ahead of the competition. It is so good to see a professional with such great customer service, who can communicate in a calm clear manner, especially when I am usually a bit emotional. ☺
Keep up the good work Sam, I look forward to continuing to work with you on my matter.
Regards
Thanks Samantha,
I’m still feeling a little shell-shocked but slowly getting used to the idea that it is nearly all over.
Thank you for all your support – professionally and emotionally. It was a big day and I was glad you were with me throughout the entire process,
Good morning Samantha
Thank you very much for your advice and support during the last 2 years. I am pleased to have settled the matter. It's appreciated and I will highly recommend you.
Thanks again
A specialist family lawyer or an experienced family law solicitor is best for divorce. They understand the legal requirements for separation, property division and parenting matters, providing personalised service to help you achieve a calm, clear outcome through court proceedings or negotiation.
Legal fees vary depending on the complexity of your family law case, including property division and parenting arrangements. Some family law firms offer fixed fees or free initial consultations to provide clarity on costs before your divorce hearing or federal circuit court date.
The best approach to parenting arrangements is open communication with your ex-partner and, if needed, using Family Dispute Resolution or working with a family lawyer who can negotiate on your behalf. Experienced family lawyers can guide you in drafting agreements that meet legal requirements and focus on the best interests of your children.
Property settlement usually involves negotiation between parties, often with legal representation from family law solicitors. If agreement isn’t possible, the family court or federal circuit court may decide about property division, including assets accumulated during domestic duties or shared family businesses.
Yes, in New South Wales, you generally have 12 months from your divorce order or separation date to apply for property settlement. Missing this deadline can affect your legal rights, so seeking advice from specialist family lawyers early makes all the difference.
Court isn’t necessary in most cases. Many family law cases are resolved through negotiation or mediation with the help of specialist family lawyers. However, if parties cannot agree on parenting or property division, attending a court date at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia may be required.
Child support is usually decided based on a formula that considers both parents’ income and care arrangements. Services Australia agreements do not take into account either party’s unique expenses or financial resources beyond taxable income. Family law solicitors can provide legal help to create private child support arrangements and to ensure child support agreements are fair and comply with federal guidelines.
Yes, it’s important to update your Will after a divorce, as divorce can revoke previous provisions. An experienced family law solicitor or estate lawyer can help ensure your Will reflects your current wishes and protects your financial future following a divorce or separation.
Take the first step towards resolving your family law matters with clarity and confidence. Our experienced Newcastle divorce and family lawyers are here to support you through separation, parenting and property issues every step of the way.
