Arbitration in family disputes
Family arbitration has been around for a long time however it is not commonly used for dispute resolution. Arbitration can be thought of as agreeing to a private court hearing before a judge of your choice. Both parties must agree to the arbitration and sign a document to indicate they understand they will be bound by the ruling.
What is the difference between arbitration and mediation?
Arbitration is a much more formal process than mediation and parties are often represented by a solicitor and a barrister.
