Dispute resolution
through negotiation
and correspondence
Where parties are pretty much on the same page but can’t, or prefer not to talk directly to each other, negotiation can take place via lawyer correspondence. This often happens when each party is not sure about what is fair or possible and consequently seeks their own independent advice.
It can be a very effective and efficient way to deal with a matter.
What do I do if the negotiation is taking too long?
If the matter is not resolved quickly it is best to move on to another form of dispute resolution because continuing negotiations in this way can get unnecessarily expensive and time consuming.
